ลักษณะ :

ไม้ต้น สูง 10-20 ม. ใบเดี่ยว เรียงตรงข้าม รูปรีหรือรูปขอบขนาน กว้าง 3-4.5 ซม. ยาว 7-10 ซม. ผิวใบด้านล่างมีสีนวล มีขนทั้งสองด้าน ดอกเดี่ยว หรือเป็นกลุ่ม ออกที่ซอกใบหรือตามกิ่ง กลีบดอกสีชมพูอ่อน ขอบกลีบมีขนชายครุย ร่วงง่าย เกสรเพศผู้มี 3 มัด แต่ละมัดปลายแยกคล้ายพู่ ออกดอกเดือน ก.พ.-มิ.ย.

Characteristics :

Trees 10-20 m tall. Leaves simple, opposite, elliptic or oblong, 7-10 by 3-4.5 cm, hairy on both sides, glaucous below. Flowers solitary or in fascicles, axillary or on branches; petals pale pink with fimbriate margin, caducous; stamens 3-fascicled. Flowering Feb.-Jun.
