Pseudostems ca. 3 m tall. Leaves subsessile; ligule ca. 1 cm, yellow vilous. Racemes erect, 25 cm or more; rachis very stout, golden yellow, sericeous-velvety, bracteoles reddish, glabrous, apex obtuse. Pedicel very short. Calyx split nearly to base on 1 side, apex 4-lobed, lobes subequal. Corolla white; tube short and wide, sericeous-villous; lobes broadly elliptic. lateral staminodes hooklike. Labellum yellow tinged with red, obovate, base with very densely sericeous scab, apex 2-cleft. Filament base villous, anther elliptic. Ovary broadly ellipsoid, sericeous-villous. |
