Tree ca. 10 m high; branch pubescent. Leaves upper dark green, lower pale green, brown pubescent at midrib both side; petioles 1 pubescent. Inflorescence pubescent; pedicels sessile. Flowers unisexual, numerous, yellowish white. Male flower; tepals yellowish white, pubescent; filament yellowish white, glabrous; anthers dorsifixed, yellow; pseudo-ovary pubescent. Female flowers unseen. Fruits acron; cupule 0.3 mm thick, completely enclosing nut, slightly open at top; bracts zigzag circles around cupule, greenish brown; nut 1 per cupule, slightly concave, brown, glabrous. |
